The Boon PTA is blessed to have a tradition of support. The three largest fall fundraisers are the golf outing, Boonsters and Sally Foster sales. In Fall 09 all three of these programs met or exceeded their goals. With the money raised through these events we support other PTA efforts including: staff appreciation, programs, hospitality, student recognition, student assistance fund and more.
In addition to funding PTA programs, monies raised by PTA are used to purchase classroom resources. Special focus this year is on literacy and math materials. Teachers and staff are currently compiling lists of their most needed resources. Approximately $1000 will be spent on each grade level. Additional funds will be gifted to the library to keep cool resources and books up to date.
